In response, Princes George and Louis and sister Princess Charlotte were among the many wanting to express their gratitude.

Prince William and Duchess Kate shared an adorable video to their Instagram on Thursday showcasing their three children giving a round of applause to medical and emergency professionals working to help combat the coronavirus crisis affecting the globe.

The Duke and Duchess captioned the post on their Kensington Royal Instagram account with the words: "To all the doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists, volunteers and other NHS staff working tirelessly to help those affected by #COVID19: thank you".

One person commented: "That is handsome!"

We don't know about you, but this show of unity and support is exactly what we needed right now.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis joined in to applaud our NHS.

Clarence House revealed Wednesday that William's father and the Queen's eldest son Prince carlos, the 71-year-old heir to the United Kingdom throne, has tested positive for the coronavirus, adding that he has been showing "mild symptoms, quot; and remains "in good health". He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual", the Clarence House said to Fox News in a statement Wednesday morning.

If you're in need of a little injection of positivity in your day, (aren't we all), then thankfully Prince William and Kate Middleton are here to provide.

In a video filmed by their parents, George, Charlotte and Louis were seen enthusiastically putting their hands together for NHS staff as the nation showed its appreciation for their hard work fighting coronavirus.

And people did not disappoint, with social media being flooded with footage of people stepping outside their doors for the emotional moment to say thank you.
