Half-Life: Alyx Set For Release On March 23

Half-Life: Alyx is set between Half-Life 1 and 2, and as the protagonist you will "immerse yourself in deep environmental interactions, puzzle solving, world exploration, and visceral combat". This batch of content is set to debut for Valve Index owners during the week of March 2nd, with more pre-order goodies teased to be on the way as well. Still, with Half-Life Alyx alongside the release of other immersive VR titles like Boneworks and The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, there's been a definite uptick in PC VR headset sales, as tracked by the Steam Hardware surveys.

The game will launch on March 23, narrowing our expectations down from Valve's previous estimate of sometime in March. A trailer was released for the game in 2019 that looked fantastic but we didn't get an exact release date but now that is changed as it was unveiled by the developers' Valve that the game will be releasing on 23 March 2020.

Also recall that Half-Life: Alyx compatible with such platforms, mixed reality, as the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Oculus Rift's Oculus Quest, Pimax and Windows Mixed Reality.

So, playing as Alyx Vance in the upcoming series will mean that you're again the humanity's only hope for survival.

Alyx will seemingly take place in City 17, a dystopian urban environment that Gordon Freeman arrives to by train in the opening moments of Half-Life 2.

The last few months have been a whirlwind of excitement thanks to one company and one singular videogame, that's of course Valve and Half-Life: Alyx. Rummage through shelves to find a healing syringe and some shotgun shells.

Furthermore, players can manipulate tools to hack alien interfaces. "Tear a headcrab off your face and throw it out the window". That's just three days after the release of big hits like Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
