'I decided during this time, you know people love the show so much, I chose to binge watch Friends!' she said, adding, 'I just started season one!

Cox was chatting with Kimmel on his YouTube Quarantine Minilogue, which he began after his late-night talk show was taken off air as a result of the pandemic.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!'s at-home YouTube show, she said: "I decided during this time - people love the show so much - I chose to binge-watch "Friends". "I have such a bad memory". "I just started season one".

That was a red rag to a bull for Kimmel, who made a decision to test her knowledge in a head-to-head with his cousin, a huge fan of the show. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you were supposed to shoot the Friends reunion special yesterday, right?" asked Kimmel. And I remember certain times in my life that I was there, but I don't remember episodes. "We were supposed to do it Monday and Tuesday of this week", said Cox, explaining that the entire cast (with the exception of David Schwimmer, who was in New York) met with a producer to discuss the event.

The actress appeared on the hit sitcom alongside Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry from 1994 to 2004, and is set to reunite with her co-stars for an HBO Max TV reunion special later this year. I would never pass, I'd fail every test!'

Later in the segment, the "Cougar Town" alum proved just how limited her "Friends" knowledge is by going head to head in a trivia match against a superfan - who also happened to be Kimmel's cousin.

'Do you remember your character's name?' he asked.

And Courteney Cox is binge-watching the comedy show as she remains indoors during quarantine.

Now that Cox has started re-watching Friends, Kimmel chose to put her knowledge to the test.

Questions she did not know the answers to included who Monica shared her first kiss with, and who peed on her leg in season four episode The One With The Jellyfish.
