Animal Crossing New Horizons patch fixes major issue for Nintendo Switch islanders

We have the early sales data for Japan, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons absolutely killed it.

New footage in the presentation has given us a closer look at all of the fun we can expect to enjoy throughout the Bunny Day celebrations, which will be live in-game from 1st to 12th April (as long as you've installed the Version 1.1.0 update). Of course, I'm just informing you all of this fix purely out of interest, because nobody here in our beloved community would cheat the game. The notes don't offer anything more illuminating than that single line, but many are assuming that it's created to take away an item duplication exploit that some gamers have been taking advantage of. Using these methods you can visit other peoples islands in ACNH!

Not only that but Animal Crossing's arrival has also given the Switch hardware a massive sales boost, with 392,576 units being moved over the weekend - more than what was sold during the Switch's launch period! If you factor in that the Pokemon titles are two separate games, Animal Crossing has surpassed them, too. Keep an eye on our price tracker below for news on when new stock might appear.
