Chromatica is Lady Gaga's sixth album, and her last one Joanne was released in 2016. "I will announce a new 2020 release date soon", Gaga tweeted, also encouraging fans to stay safe and practice social distancing measures to help contain the virus. "Please know that I'm thinking of you all".

"I wanted to tell you, that after a lot of deliberation, I've made the incredibly tough decision to postpone the release of Chromatica".

Gaga said in her message that although she believes in the power of art to heal the world, it's is important for the attention to be focused entirely on helping those in need, and affected in any way from the ongoing global pandemic.

Earlier this month, HAIM announced the third studio album we've been waiting for, having spent 2019 releasing singles that will be featured on the record.

In a statement released via Instagram, the pop icon explained the reason behind her decision to postpone her first full-length release since the soundtrack to A Star Is Born.

She also mentioned that her April 30-May 11 shows at the MGM Park Theater in Las Vegas had already been postponed "due to guidelines about public gatherings from the [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention]", but added that she hopes the May performances proceed. She plans one still sharing a few of those surprises, the ones she can, with fans "very soon".

"To my fans, I love you".

"I hope you can see that when the album does come out, I want us to be able to dance together, sweat together, hug and kiss each other, and make it the most bombastic celebration of all time".

The album had been scheduled for release on April 10.

"And until that time comes, LET'S ALL STAY HOME!"

"So I ask you to practise that kindness in these trying times". "I can't wait to be dancing with you all!"

Little Monsters, we have some bad news.
