But one of the silver linings has been seeing people coming together to share art and stories for each other to enjoy whilst we work through these uncertain times.

Audible has just announced that they are now offering free audiobooks on their stories service - becoming the latest in a slew of companies offering help for parents who have found themselves affected by the recent coronavirus school closures. You can also get books narrated in languages like Spanish and German if those are your mother tongues, or you just fancy flexing some linguistic muscle while you keep yourself indoors.

Amazon says the service will be available for as long as schools stay closed.

And while parents like to read to their kids, they are spending a bit more time these days preparing meals since going out to eat to restaurants has been put on hold.

A typical Audible subscription is $14.95/month.

The collection is broken down into categories including Elementary, Teen, Tween, Literary Classics and Folk Tales.

Categories that are now free include littlest listeners, elementary, tween, teen, and literary classics - and include such titles as Winnie-the-Pooh, Beatrix Potter, and Alice in Wonderland. Like many things, the first organizational sharing came from indie artists and creators.
