Xiaomi has today launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (which is a mouthful to say) in India, alongside the Redmi Note 9 Pro. With the latter priced onward of Rs 16,999 in India, it is likely that Xiaomi will price the Redmi Note 9 Pro thereabouts, and will likely undercut the Realme 6 Pro by a slight margin. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is also tipped to come with features such as 90Hz refresh rate display, 64-megapixel primary rear camera and a curved glass rear, making it stand out from the crowd. Accompanying the chipset, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is equipped with either 6 or 8GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) for 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage respectively. There's an additional microSD expansion for the storage as well, which is up to 512GB.

Recent teasers have confirmed that the Redmi Note 9 series will feature a quad-rear camera setup with a square-shaped layout similar to that on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The launch day offers for the Redmi Note 9 Pro will be revealed on 16 March. The camera gets a Pro Colour mode for one-tap fix. The device sports a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree FOV, a 5MP macro camera with auto-focus, and finally, a 2MP depth sensor. There's a 5MP macro lens accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor as well. The phone brings 6.67” screen in a more compact body, as well as four cameras on the back and a selfie shooter within a punch hole.
