Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, have reportedly offered to foot a portion of their security bill if their post-Megxit projects are a success.

Harry said while the United Kingdom will always be his home, he made the decision in light of the recent events, which have had a direct effect on the wellbeing of his family.

Last October, Prince Harry and Meghan publicly revealed their struggles under the media spotlight.

'Once Meghan and I got married, we were excited, we were hopeful and we were here to serve.

"So I made their image appear a itsy-bitsy bit bit better", the outspoken father added.

He also said talks about the couple's desire for more independence from the royal household had gone on for months and came after "so many years of challenges".

The Duke went on to say that despite wanting to continue serving the Queen without public funding, it became apparent such a position was not going to be possible.

"I'm in my senior years now - it's time to look after daddy".

Thomas also addressed Meghan and Harry's controversial decision to give up most of their senior royal duties, live financially independent of the monarchy, relinquish their "royal highness" titles and live part-time in Canada. "All Harry asked me was did I pose for measurements for a suit, and I said, 'No, I wasn't posing for a measurement for a suit, I was being measured for a new hoodie.' That's what I told them".

'There isn't a great deal of space for Harry and Meghan so they're really looking forward to the future'. "But in the end it is Harry that has caused this great disaster and he must take full responsibility for it".

"As I said before ..." "Obama is a very sophisticated operator, a man of the world". Never has such a large scale royal power shift like this been as present in the media, so I'm curious to see how this affects the perception of royalty and the Queen's rule.

Historian Robert Lacey, who is a consultant to the Netflix series The Crown, disagreed.

But the hybrid royal roles proved unpopular with the British public.

The fanciest and most scripted of claims and analysis of their statements can only tell us so much, and digging for more information about their half break up with the royal family to me just seems ironic and antiquated.

Prince Harry landed on Vancouver Island on Tuesday morning to be reunited with his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, and their eight-month-old son Archie. Channel 5 released part of the interview on Sunday and said the full documentary would air "in the coming weeks".
