Warren says Bloomberg should drop out of race following brutal debate

From the opening bell, Democrats unleashed an aggressive verbal assault on NY billionaire Mike Bloomberg and raised new questions about Bernie Sanders' take-no-prisoners politics in a contentious debate Wednesday night on the Las Vegas Strip.

After the debate, Matthews asked Warren why she went after Bloomberg so hard.

She continued her criticism in a tweet after the debate saying: "I hope you heard what Mayor Bloomberg's defence of decades of mistreatment of women was: 'I've been nice to some women'".

"I'd like to talk about who we're running against", Warren said.

This failed to deter Warren, who demanded the women be released from the agreements so they could speak publicly. Warren is at her strongest when she attacks corruption and inequality, while staking out a posture that's both progressive and pro-reformed-capitalism, both populist and technocratic, which could allow her to play unifier to constituencies outside Sanders's base.

On Friday morning, Trump shared a very brief video clip on Twitter, and wrote "This is the REAL Mini Mike".

Expressing friendship for Donald Trump may not be that helpful to Bloomberg in a Democratic primary, but being treated as a joke by a fellow billionaire probably isn't exactly the pwn Trump thinks it is, either.

Yet all is not completely lost for Bloomberg, as he still pulls marginally more support than others in the race - including embattled former Vice President Joe Biden, whose poll numbers and standing on betting markets have fallen sharply. "Keep putting your money in to help Democrats beat Donald Trump, and just take your ego out of this". Bloomberg won't be on the ballot Saturday, yet he was expecting to face intense scrutiny on national television for the first time, having faced relatively little in his surprisingly swift rise from nonpartisan megadonor to top-tier contender.

"He walked into this debate thinking nobody was gonna ask him about that?" Warren asked. "Or do we want to invest in an entire generation of young students?"

"I think if this is the best the Democrats have to offer, I think he is solidifying four more years as president of the United States", she added. President Trump had two women, porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal, sue to try to get out of their NDAs with him.

"We shouldn't have to choose between one candidate who wants to burn this party down and another candidate who wants to buy this party out", he said.
