However, the developments were slightly different from what Microsoft thought.

It's not clear how this person managed to get Windows 10X running on his MacBook, but it's likely to be a very technical and complicated process.

Ben, a developer, found that Windows 10 X runs smoothly on Apple MacBook.

A few days back, on 11 February 2020, the company released an early version of Windows 10 X Emulator and talked about the dual-screen Surface Neo device, which was scheduled for launch in December 2020. After that point, systems running Windows 10 1809 will no longer receive security updates, which is a big deal considering the numerous threats that are lurking out there on the internet.

There's no word on when Windows 10X will make its debut yet.

If you have a modern Mac - one powered by an Intel processor - then you can already create a Windows partition using Boot Camp.

Windows 10X wasn't designed for Macs. The video shared by Imbushuo on Twitter shows that Windows 10X works successfully on MacBook.

"It will be nice when, in the future, we will [have] access to CoreOS version for PC/laptop instead of dual-screen".

However, it is not easy to port Windows 10 X onto a Surface Go as admitted by the dev, because video, WiFi and touch drivers need to be ported too. Recent reports suggest Windows 10X will also come to traditional clamshell devices. It is now littered with bugs that make it far from stable, and again, it's now designed specifically for dual-screen machines.
