Ministry of Health: No single case of Chinese coronavirus recorded in Ukraine

A further 2,641 people have been newly confirmed as infected, bringing the China's total to 66,492.

A Chinese citizen has died from the coronavirus in France, the French health minister confirmed on Saturday, February 15.

"The ministry has taken preventive measures and is monitoring the patient. who is stable", health ministry spokesman Khaled Megahed said, without specifying the nationality of the patient.

After the first death outside Asia was reported from France on Saturday (February 15), the number of deaths outside mainland China has grown to four, with one death each reported from Japan, the Philippines, and Hong Kong.

Out of the number, the woman and her 85-year-old husband who arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Friday showed symptoms of infection and were subsequently referred to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for further tests.

France has recorded 11 cases of the virus, out of a global total of 63,851.

"Her state of health is no longer cause for concern and she should be able to be released soon", Ms Buzyn said.

In addition, Dr Lee advised the public to avoid stigmatising those arriving from China or those having had contact with confirmed Covid-19 positive cases because anxiety over the matter will only interfere with daily life. The teen has tested negative for coronavirus, and will now spend two weeks in quarantine at a military facility near Rome.

A Channel 4 spokesman said: "On Thursday, a member of staff at Channel 4 who had travelled to Asia within the last month felt unwell".

The patient's daughter, also suffering from the coronavirus, "was also taken care of at Bichat hospital".

"We have informed our staff of this and continue to follow all the latest public health guidance".
