With the LSU series announcement and an annual matchup with Florida, Florida State has secured the majority of its non-conference opponents for the next four seasons. "I know our coaches, players and fans will be excited to return to Tallahassee to face the Seminoles".

The first match-up will be played at the Superdome on Saturday, September 4th.

"We couldn't be more excited to add this game to our schedule in 2021", Jacksonville State Athletics Director Greg Seitz said. "To play a traditional power like Florida State is a challenge that excites our team". Both games will be at neutral sites. The tigers play Texas, the home half of a home-and-home, this season.

LSU is 2-7 all-time against Florida State with the 2022 meeting being the first between the teams since 1991 when the Seminoles posted a 27-16 win in Tiger Stadium.

"Our team looks forward to playing Florida State to open the 2022 and 2023 seasons", LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said.

Florida State will host Jacksonville State at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla., on September 11, 2021. The games will be played in New Orleans and Orlando, respectively. The 2022 schedule also includes Louisiana in Tallahassee, and 2023 features a home game against Southern Miss.

Florida State is 8-2 at the Superdome, including winning a national championship against Michael Vick and Virginia Tech in the 2000 Sugar Bowl.

Looking closer to the upcoming season, LSu will have two home games to open up the 2020 season.
