For many teams though, once they set on their corporate or sponsor colours, their liveries can often end up being fairly similar from one year to the next. In an extravagant launch event that featured a fashion show - first of the AlphaTauri spring/summer collection, then of the new team kit - the new look was unveiled at Red Bull's Hangar 7 in Salzburg.

The AT01 sports a slick navy blue look with the team logo emblazoned on the auto in white.

Their name "Alpha Tauri" is plastered over the new vehicle along with some of their sponsors like Moose and myWorld.

At the same time, a replica auto was unveiled on the wall of a shop in Milan, Italy.

AlphaTauri will continue to be powered by Honda, with the engine manufacturer pledging its future to Formula 1 - and both Red Bull teams - through at least 2021.

The 2020-spec AT01 will complete its first laps of an F1 circuit on Saturday, when it completes a filming day at the Misano circuit in Italy.

The team has changed its social media handles to mark the rebrand.

Alpha Tauri have unveiled their first vehicle since changing their name from Toro Rosso. Daniil Kvyat joined Toro Rosso in 2014 and made the step up to Red Bull the following season, only to be demoted back to Toro Rosso in 2016.

Although both drivers raced for Toro Rosso in 2017, Kvyat's 15 races and Gasly's five outings - in a season when the team ran six drivers - did not coincide.
