Royal Challengers Bangalore may not have a single Indian Premier League title in the history of the cash-rich league but it is fair to say that they are one of the most followed franchises in the IPL.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, who are yet to win the IPL since its inception in 2008, on Wednesday had changed the name of their official Twitter handle.

The team's star players Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Yuzvendra Chahal all joined in on a presumably choreographed social media tease, wondering what the change was. In the end, the mystery got solved on Friday, as they revealed their new logo which features a lion.

"Embodying the bold pride and the challenger spirit, we have unleashed the rampant lion returning him to the Royal lineage", RCB wrote on their social media profiles.

Amidst all of the reactions towards the new logo, Bumrah spearheaded the trolls, as India's best bowler gave a amusing statement while taking a dig on his bowling action.

RCB had recently inked a new a three-year sponsorship deal ahead of IPL 2020 with Muthoot Fincorp Ltd. Indian captain Kohli is also the skipper of RCB and reacted to the team's new logo with a pun.

And Virat Kohli had a hilarious reaction to the new logo. It embodies the Bold pride and challenger spirit that our players bring to the field.

RCB's chairman, Sanjeev Churiwala, while addressing the media said: "The elements in the logo is a commitment to continuously entertain and engage with fans who are the force behind Royal Challengers Bangalore".

Even though the Royal Challengers entered three IPL finals in 2009, 2011 and 2016, the team still has not bagged the trophy and in the IPL 2020 they will be eager to lift that elusive crown.
