Philippe Coutinho is not surprised and "so happy" by Liverpool's success in the Premier League this season and insists he does not regret leaving Anfield.

The head of the English club recalled that in January 2018 the Brazilian went to Barcelona after a 150 million euros investment -more variables- by the Barca club.

Liverpool have gone from strength to strength in Coutinho's absence - opening up a 22 point lead at the top of the Premier League after winning the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup over the a year ago - while the Brazilian has struggled to make an impression in Spain and is now on a season-long loan deal at Bayern Munich.

The South American midfielder has been linked with a potential return to Liverpool FC following his disappointing stint at the La Liga side.

Coutinho moved to Bayern Munich last summer. I don't look back.

"Barcelona got here calling and as a South American famous person I completely perceive why that will look such a horny transfer".

His want was ultimately granted, with a big-money deal taking Coutinho to Camp Nou after 5 years in England.

Coutinho has rekindled some good form at Bayern over the past few months, finding the net seven times in 27 outings. In any case, the defeat data he referred to is not entirely accurate, since Liverpool, after the player's transfer, lost three games in the Premier League (against Swansea City, United and Celsea).

The Reds will make the trip to the Spanish capital to take on Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash on Tuesday night.
