A 4-0 win for Celtic at Motherwell kept the champions on a steady course for their ninth successive Premiership title despite Ianis Hagi's winning goal on his Rangers debut.

"He is an outstanding footballer", Lennon said.

The 17/18 season saw him turn out 55 times across all competitions for the Hoops while last term had him playing 59 games, not including the times he featured for Scotland.

The 22-year-old French striker has been in stunning form since returning from the winter break and is partnering well in attack next to Griffiths.

Leigh Griffiths added a second shortly after half-time, before influential playmaker Callum McGregor fired in a third from the edge of the box.

His return of 16 assists so far this season proves that he's not just a finisher around the box and he's willing to set up a teammate if he's in a better position.

"It was a great performance against hard opposition", Lennon said.

"Celtic brilliant tonight... some of the football tonight breathtaking".

McNamara told Football Insider: "I think he's getting the rewards now, people are taking more notice of him now because of his all-round game". Considering he has been out for so long, the way he has come back has been a credit to him. Given Lawwell himself is the highest-paid chief exec in the country, why can't we pay one player Premier League wages since our CEO is happy to take them?

He is expecting rumours around Edouard's future at the end of the season and believes he is going to be the biggest outgoing transfer in Celtics history as the club might get as much as £40m for the Frenchman.
