Sydney Cricket Ground to Host Bushfire Relief Match

On today, the Commonwealth Bank Women's Tri-Series T20 global match shall be performed between India and Australia for the donation, whereas the finals of the Big Bash League may even be given to the fireplace victims.

Brian Lara will feature in the Bushfire relief match on February 8, Cricket Australia have confirmed.

The full squads have been confirmed for the upcoming Bushfire Bash cricket match, with a host of cricketing legends, as well as other sporting champs set to take part.

Only three overseas players will participate including Yuvraj Singh, Wasim Akram, and the West Indies legend Brian Lara which will participate in this charity game.

Lara, considered to be one of the greatest worldwide batsmen of all time, joins a raft of cricket and sporting legends who are coming together to raise funds for communities affected by Australia's bushfires.

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar and West Indies bowling great Courtney Walsh will coach the Ricky Ponting XI and Shane Warne XI, respectively. Skippers Ponting and Warne will finalize their respective XIs for the match in the coming days. The funds raised from the game will be donated to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund.

"Bowlers will not have over limits, fielders can sub on and off as it suits, while captains will have the ability to sub batters in and out during an innings", Cricket Australia's (CA) website reported.

Australian men's greats Andrew Symonds, Brad Haddin and Mike Hussey have also joined the campaign which includes former stars Ponting, Warne, Adam Gilchrist, Brett Lee, Langer, Michael Clarke, Shane Watson and Alex Blackwell.
