In the midst of writing this piece, it was revealed by Adrian Wojnarowski that the Clippers would be sending Jerome Robinson to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Isaiah Thomas, ultimately making this a three-team trade.

The Knicks, continuing their massive rebuild, are on the verge of trading their best player, Marcus Morris, to the Clippers for at least one prospect, Moe Harkless and a first-round pick, a source confirmed.

Robinson was the No. 13 pick in the National Basketball Association draft, but has had trouble finding playing time on a loaded Clippers roster.

It's not clear whose first-round pick the Knicks are receiving.

David Aldridge of The Athletic reports the Clippers will not keep Thomas.

Whether the Lakers or Clippers manage to pull off a trade with the Knicks for Morris remains to be seen.

Morris has averaged 19.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this season. Let's not forget, he is shooting 43.9 percent from deep on an average of 6.1 attempts per game. He has started 38 of the 50 games he has appeared in with the Clippers. It's not that the Clippers might lose Kawhi Leonard or Paul George this summer. But his toughness and shooting will be a welcome addition down the stretch and in the playoffs.
