Andre Iguodala hasn't played a minute for the surprising Memphis Grizzlies this season, and once Thursday's National Basketball Association trade deadline has passed, there's a good chance that he never will. Canadian Dillon Brooks hopes the Grizzlies find a way to deal him.

With the deadline looming, the third-year guard didn't mince words when asked about speculation that Iguodala will be moved.

Jonas Valanciunas shined with 26 points and 17 rebounds as the Grizzlies rolled past the Pistons 96-82 in Memphis.

It is clear that the young Grizzlies don't appreciate the veteran wing has decided their playoff push is not a worthy cause for which to play, and are feeling quite frisky about their ability to show him why that's a mistake if he goes to a contender.

At least two of Brooks' teammates appeared to agree with the comments. Melton has since turned his account private. Curry, Iguodala's former teammate, came to the swingman's defense with a post on Instagram. The 36-year-old has not played since he was sent by the Golden State Warriors to Memphis last summer while he was looking for an exchange. Aldridge added that Iguodala and the Grizzlies previously agreed at the start of the season that he would not report to the team. The Rockets seem like the team with the best path to landing Iguodala, as they are in reported talks for a Clint Capela trade that could become a three-team affair with the Grizzlies. "I feel like he's doing the right thing for his career, but we don't really care", Brooks added.

"It's not a distraction at all".

"It's always a pleasure to fight down low, and not chase the guys on the 3-point line", the Memphis center said with a laugh.
