As the Coronavirus death toll increases to 361 in China with almost 17,205 confirmed cases, recently a woman suspected to be a carrier of the deadly virus gave birth to a boy in the hospital.

According to the Harbin Municipal Health Commission, the infant was born last Thursday (local time) in a child hospital in Harbin. The woman, who was not named in the AsiaWire report, went into labor on January 30 shortly after being diagnosed with the virus, which has sickened over 20,000 and been linked to at least 425 deaths.

According to worldwide reports, the boy is delivered healthy and has been sent to Wuhan's Children's hospital for further tests.

After several days of medical quarantine and observation, both the baby and her mother are in stable condition now. Medical professionals determine that anything above an Apgar score of 7 is considered normal. In the meantime, she gave birth to this child.

It is being said that the doctors of the hospital gave birth to this child through cesarean. "In addition to that, she was accompanied by no family members, as all had been placed in quarantine as either confirmed or suspected cases". "Our first concern was a vertical transmission infection, so we took precautions and put her under round-the-clock monitoring".

A pregnant woman in China, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus, delivered a healthy baby girl the same day.

So far, the coronavirus has sickened over 20,000 people and been linked to at least 425 deaths, Fox News reported.
