Barcelona announces Matheus Fernandes to join Palmeiras in July

The Brazilian midfielder will join the Blaugrana in July in exchange for seven million euros plus three million euros in variables.

There is further movement at Camp Nou according to ESPN, who have revealed that Trincao is to join from S.C. Braga after a deal was struck over a €30m move for the 20-year-old forward.

FC Barcelona are yet officially confirm a January signing, but a Brazilian player has now seemingly announced his own transfer to the club via Instagram.

While it seems Barcelona have signed him before immediately loaning him out to Real Valladolid until the end of the season, both clubs are yet to make an official statement about the player.

There will also be a clause that allows Barcelona to buy Ruiz back in the future.

"FC Barcelona and Palmeiras have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Matheus Fernandes Siqueira and he will join the Club on 1 July 2020".

Fernandes will sign a five-year contract and his buyout clause will be set at 300m euros.

Barca had been linked with Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan while negotiations broke down over a deal for Valencia's Rodrigo Moreno.
