West Ham's 1-0 defeat against West Brom was the highest attendance in the round, with 58,911 at London Stadium, in stark contrast to the 8,071 who watched the all-Premier League tie between Burnley and Norwich.

Jurgen Klopp's men sit a mammoth 16 points above City at the top of the pile. "Records are there to be broken", Guardiola said, as per Liverpool Echo.

Mark Lawrenson is expecting Manchester City to cruise through to the fifth round of the FA Cup by claiming a 3-0 win over Fulham in their fourth-round tie on Sunday afternoon. "The players need rhythm so I am going to try to keep everybody involved".

"So Liverpool obviously will be champions of the Premier League but they would be champions in Spain, champions in Italy, champions in Germany, they would be champions everywhere", Guardiola was quoted by Manchester Evening News as saying.

He said: "What my team did over the last two seasons was incredible".

However, Liverpool have been unstoppable this season and have only dropped points against Manchester United.

"They're a team with a lot of courage but it was a bit different after the red card".

'In Spain with the points we have we would be there, one or two points behind the leader, in Germany we would be there, one or two points behind the leader, in Italy as well.

"So we have to accept it and learn from that and be better to try to be close to them and still fighting to get better to finish second and to get better".

Guardiola is a sensible man who knows his football better than most.

Guardiola's side's average league attendance this season is 54,391, while on average 50,124 people have attended their three Champions League group games.

This is the icing on the cake for the Reds and represents the respect they've earned from Pep and his team. There isn't a league in world football at the moment that Liverpool wouldn't challenge for the title in.
