Poco India General Manager, C Manmohan, has now revealed that the company will launch its first phone in February following its split from Xiaomi to operate as an independent entity. That said, he did not deny the existence of the Poco F2 and suggested that it could launch in the future. Recently, the design of the upcoming Poco F2 and Poco F2 lite was leaked on the internet.

According to Manmohan, the POCO brand will initially focus only on the Indian market.

Don't trust unofficial leaks, here's an official one.

- POCO India (@IndiaPOCO) January 24, 2020If not POCO F2, could it be POCO X2?

Chances are that the Poco X2 could be first phone after the Poco F1 from 2018.

Additionally, going by the name, it seems that Poco may be looking to play in the same category as the Realme X2. A very recent leak is from an XDA Developer member who spotted the name "POCO X2" in the Redmi K30 of his Polish friend. They also talked about the beginning of season 2, which indirectly hints towards the possible launch of the Poco F2 lite and Poco F2. Poco may, however, skip the 120Hz display from the Redmi K30 to keep the costs low in India. Other than this, Manmohan did not give concrete answers on questions regarding the pricing of the upcoming device, so it would be hard for us to speculate as to what price range the device would be introduced at.

Last week, a known YouTuber received an anonymous email that claimed two big things. Earlier this week, the company began teasing the launch of its next phone, which is expected to be a successor to the incredibly popular POCO F1. The chipset is present in the Redmi K30 5G model, which makes it hard to believe that it will come in a "Lite" model. Poco is openly saying that it is going to bring more phones in 2020 (read "phones") and we could be seeing the second Poco smartphone as soon as in February.
