Details of the 120Hz Fluid Display have been shared already and here is another leaked photo that confirms the said 120Hz display. Not only did OnePlus users complain about this, but it was also one of the biggest criticisms against the Pixel 4 phones. If this turns out to be true it could give OnePlus an edge higher than Samsung.

One thing the report is wary about is confirming that the OnePlus 8 Pro would even be able to display 120Hz above Full HD+ resolution (the OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to come a QHD+ panel). The leaked image in the report could be a pre-production unit.

OnePlus is working on its next batch of smartphones, and we may see as many as three new models this year including a flagship OnePlus 8, an ultra-premium OnePlus 8 Pro, and a low-priced OnePlus 8 Lite.

The hands-on image shows the Settings page where users can select the refresh rate of the display. A note on the screen says "The higher the screen refresh rate, the smoother the screen experience". The new display would be able to show screen contents in 120Hz, as well as 90Hz (like the 2019 OnePlus 7 phones) and the standard 60Hz. However, while gaming 120hz refresh rate will produce better result compared to 60hz or 90hz. We can also see a hole-punch selfie camera, so we can also expect the pop-up cameras to become a feature that won't arrive with the next OnePlus 8 series. The leak, however, suggests the 120Hz screen will be used on at least one variant of the OnePlus 8 series. This is the first time OnePlus is opting for such a display. OnePlus 8 Lite image renders and 360-degree video also appeared on the web.
