Former Simba SC chairman Ismail Aden Rage has revealed the club will pocket some good cash if striker Mbwana Samatta seals a move from KRC Genk in Belgium to Aston Villa in England.

The 27-year-old Tanzania worldwide has signed a four-and-half-year deal, subject to a work permit and global clearance being granted.

Samatta has scored ten goals this season for Genk in the Belgian league. The paperwork's just getting ticked off with Samatta and, if we get that done, we'll be really pleased.

"He has scored goals throughout his career and I'm looking forward to working with him".

Aston Villa's Jack Grealish has been earning some rave reviews for his performances in the Premier League this season and with Villa fighting against relegation, somme Arsenal fans have once again called for the player to be signed by the Gunners.

Samatta had featured for Mainland's top-flight side Simba for half a season but Rage said his sale to TP Mazembe was hugely beneficial to the club in terms of financial gains.

As per WhoScored, seven goals and five assists in a struggling Villa side is a great return for someone who has been out of the Premier League for three years.

Recognising Kalinic is eager to be a part of Croatia's Euro 2020 squad, Villa boss Dean Smith said: "He needs game time".

Samatta is Villa's third acquisition of the transfer window following two loan signings - midfielder Danny Drinkwater from Chelsea and goalkeeper Pepe Reina from AC Milan.
