Pop Smoke is one of the most exciting new rappers in the game right now, representing the gritty side of NY that doesn't care all too much about melody or a catchy hook. His hit singles "Welcome To The Party" and "Dior" paved the way for him to make an appearance on Travis Scott's new Cactus Jack compilation project JACKBOYS, highlighting the final song "GATTI".

According to court docs, Pop Smoke was arrested Friday morning in NY on a federal charge of interstate transport of a stolen vehicle. specifically a 2019 Rolls-Royce Wraith from Cali. The man claims the agreement was Pop Smoke would use the vehicle that night and return it the next day at no cost, in exchange for backstage passes to a future show. In exchange, the rapper would give the owner VIP treatment at his upcoming show.

But here's the catch, the auto was to be returned the next day following the video shoot. When that didn't happen, the owner tracked the vehicle to Arizona using Global Positioning System and then reported it stolen.

Rising hip-hop star Pop Smoke was hauled before a federal judge in Brooklyn on Friday on a charge that he stole a black Rolls Royce used in a video shoot in Los Angeles and took it back home with him in Brooklyn. And to make matters worse, the vehicle was still in Pop Smoke's possession, but now in NY according to picture's geo-tag.

XXL confirmed that the rapper was arrested at JFK Airport on Friday morning upon his return from Paris Fashion Week.
