From the moment it begins, you know "Black Swan" is different from anything BTS has done before. The song was trending worldwide within minutes of its release by the K-pop group. Apart from BTS, their fans, also known as ARMY, are known how to make major headlines. Black Swan is the confession of BTS discovering what music means to themselves in such a dark and haunting manner. Before the main release of 7, we got a comeback trailer with Suga's Interlude: Shadow, which gave us a glimpse into what we can expect from the upcoming album. The track has two versions: the first which is used in the music video features string instrumentals with BTS' a capella vocals while the studio version (available on all streaming platforms) features piano and a rolling trap beat. In this video, we don't see the band but hear their soulful vocal cords with a hauntingly attractive performance by MN Dance Company.

The best-selling Korean sensation BTS just dropped the first single from its new album - Map of the Soul: 7, out February 21 - and it's a swirl of string-swept emo-rap introspection. Check out their reactions to Black Swan below. Moreover, this brand new music video is co-produced by BTS' leader RM a.k.a. Kim Namjoon. It starts with a quote by Martha Graham, which reads as "A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful".
