The former UFC two-division champion crossed over to boxing to take on former world champion Mayweather in August 2017.

The unprecedented figure will easily be the most that any MMA fighter has ever pocketed for a single bout, even if his actual fight purse won't even make up a fraction of that.

Floyd Mayweather's manager has responded to Conor McGregor saying he would win a rematch with the American boxing legend.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, McGregor revealed his desire to run it back with Mayweather which prompted a swift reply from Leonard Ellerbe. The CEO of Mayweather promotions wrote on social media.

The UFC is banking on Conor McGregor starting 2020 off with a bang.

McGregor, who is set to return to the cage against Donald Cerrone on Sunday, said a deal with Pacquiao is imminent.

"I know I'd beat Floyd if we rematched and when we rematch". 'He's flirting with it and he could choose someone else but it wouldn't be the same.

McGregor added: "I done phenomenal in that bout". And when the fight was like that, I was picking him apart.

"I'm estimating around $80 million because we've got Australia, Canada, England and Ireland". It was supposed to be me boxing, then we'll do a mixed martial arts bout.

"I'm confident it is going to be a nice paycheck", McGregor said.
