Jennifer Lopez reveals she turned down this Oscar-nominated role

In Vanity Fair's Hollywood issue, the 50-year-old superstar shared she turned down a famous role that earned the actress an Oscars nomination in 2003.

The Academy's Oscar nominations are not pleasing everyone though: Many people called out the organization for failing to recognize other critically-acclaimed movies, including Hustlers, The Farewell, and Uncut Gems.

The performer explained that the role went to the flawless actress, but she still thinks about the missed opportunity.

Unfaithful starred Lane and Richard Gere as a couple, Edward and Connie, undergoing a crisis in their marriage when Edward discovers Connie has lied about having an affair. "I should have known that Adrian Lyne was going to kill it, but I didn't", she shared.

The film, which was released in 2002, ends with Edward accidentally murdering Connie's lover Paul and dealing with the repercussions. JLo was expected to receive a nomination for Actress in a Supporting Role.
