New England Patriots star Julian Edelman was arrested in Southern California on suspicion of misdemeanor vandalism after jumping on the hood of someone's vehicle, authorities said Sunday.

According to the report, Edelman was walking around at about 9 p.m. California time when he hopped onto the hood of the vehicle.

In the one place, you wouldn't expect to see National Football League star wide receiver Julian Edelman on playoff's weekend is arrested or in handcuffs while in Los Angeles, CA.

Edelman may have been feeling good when he jumped onto the hood of a auto in Beverly Hills, but that doesn't mean the famed player is physically well.

One law enforcement source told TMZ that it had been "apparent" Edelman had been drinking.

Neither the Patriots nor Edelman have commented on the arrest.

Our sources say there was minimal damage to the auto itself.

The trio evidently met for drinks in L.A. over the weekend, stopping to take a photo posted on Pierce's Instagram Saturday night.

According to Boston, Edelman will require both knee surgery and shoulder surgery during the off-season. "The vandalism occurred in the 200-block of N Beverly Dr. Edelman was released on a citation and scheduled to appear at the Airport Courthouse on April 13, 2020".

Obviously, Edelman wasn't on the field Sunday morning after his team was knocked out of the playoffs by the Tennesse Titans. If it makes it feel any better, the Tennessee Titans beat the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night.

Last year, when the New England Patriots season came to an end, Julian Edelman was named Super Bowl MVP and he was sent on a parade through Walt Disney World.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's office will decide to file charges against the Patriots star.
