In addition, Disney+'s 30 million US installs were more than Hulu and Amazon Prime Video had in all of 2019.

Now in its second month, post-launch, Sensor Tower says the app has now reached almost 41 million total installs across the App Store and Google Play worldwide and has generated an estimated $97.2 million in consumer spending.

The figures also show that TikTok downloads reached an all-time high in Q4 2019, with almost 220 million installs, which represented a 24% increase over Q3 2019 and 6% growth YoY.

The Disney+ app was downloaded 31 million times during Q4 - more than doubling TikTok, the second-most downloaded app during the quarter in the U.S - per Sensor Tower's "Data Digest" report released on Monday afternoon.

This information comes from Sensor Tower, an app analysis company, which published its findings into the mobile download habits of people in 2019, both for games and everyday apps. The intelligence firm estimates that TikTok revenue approached $40 million in December 2019 and was the No. 7 app (excluding games) by revenue that month.

The vast majority of that revenue growth came from China, reports Sensor Tower, which adds that the country was responsible for 78% of TikTok's revenue in Q4 2019.

In Q4, Disney+ generated 16% of all SVOD revenue in the USA - an impressive feat, given it only launched in mid-November.

TikTok downloads on the US App Store grew 83% YoY to almost 10m in Q4 2019.

These total downloads were counted across both the Apple App Store and Google Play, with the App Store accounting for over 18 million of the Disney+ downloads and Google Play accounting for more than 12 million. Russia, Turkey, and Italy were TikTok's top European markets for the quarter. ByteDance ranked outside the Top 5 in Q2 and Q3 2019.

And for non-gaming apps, it's a reminder how worldwide the tech scene is, for example with Google Play for India sitting in the top list near Amazon, which doesn't ship to all countries, and the appearance of TikTok, which is hugely popular in certain other countries. Brazil was its second largest market in Q4 2019.

In fact, worldwide, Disney+ was the 9th most downloaded app on Apple's App Store, despite only being released on November 12, and its services only being available in the US, The Netherlands, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Speaking of world domination, it's interesting to highlight Google somehow managed to eke out a win against Facebook for the first time in more than five years to take home the top global publisher prize.
