Bruno Fernandes is keen to move to Old Trafford, so this deal could well happen in the coming weeks.

As per Daily Mail, United have made a bid of £50 million and added bonuses as both clubs' chiefs have had discussions.

On Monday, Sky Sports News reported that Fernandes wants to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad. The midfielder moved to the club from Sampdoria and has scored 61 goals and 51 assists in 133 appearances. He signed a new deal a year ago, which will see his contract expire in 2023.

"United is a club that Bruno Fernandes really likes in England, it's a club that he really wants to play for".

Solskjaer has refused to talk publicly about Fernandes and has insisted the club will only sign long-term targets in the January transfer window, despite injuries to midfielders Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay.

Manchester United need quite a few additions to the squad, especially in midfield and defence, which has looked very weak this season.

The Portuguese outlet also stated that the deal could be closed this week and it is highly likely that the Seleccao attacker will not be able to play for the Lions when they face Benfica at the weekend.

We have already talked about the player's performance in our previous posts and the world knows that he was the highest goal-scoring CAM in the last campaign and has been in superb form this term as well.

Manchester United fans are waiting anxiously for positive progress over Bruno Fernandes.

He is a player who would solve United's biggest problem of creativity and a lack of goals from midfield.
