Since AMD moved away from the Catalyst Control Centre software in 2015 and replaced it with AMD Radeon Software, there has been noticeable improvements to GPU performance and stability, along with new features.

As it is with all major updates, the Radeon Adrenalin Software 2020 edition comes packed with updates to several now existing features, as well as the addition of new and demanded features. AMD claims that since 2015, Radeon Software has delivered average year-on-year performance gains of 12% for AMD GPUs, and GPU stability was rated at 93% as of June 2018. You can pull this up in any game with the "ALT + R" shortcut to get quick access to all of the toggles and clip-saving features that the Radeon software provides.

Another big feature tagging along in the 2020 Edition is Radeon Boost.

AMD has just unleashed the sixth annual software release for its Radeon lineup of video cards, which comes with "a sleek new gaming application" alongside a few new features and - as one would expect from any new driver package - enhanced video performance and quality. For instance, it fixes the loss of display or video signal during gameplay on the Radeon RX 5700 series. This feature detects mouse movements in games - like when you are moving around during an action sequence - and by dynamically reducing image resolution, is able to boost frame rates and fluidity with little to no change in discernible image quality.

Other noteworthy features and updates include integer display scaling which is created to make older, resolution-limited games look better on modern, high-res displays via pixel flawless upscaling as well as expanded support for Radeon Anti-Lag and Radeon Image Sharpening.

Last but not least is AMD Link. Furthermore, it only works with a handful of games out of the gate although AMD will likely expand support to additional titles, especially should it prove popular with players.

Beyond the app's new layout, Radeon Adrenalin Software 2020 also introduces Integer Display Scaling to the masses. If you're already using a Radeon graphics card, you should receive a prompt to download it.

KitGuru says: AMD has added some really interesting features and settings to improve performance in its latest Radeon Adrenalin 2020 software.
