Rep. Mark Meadows, R-North Carolina, said he saw nothing wrong with Giuliani's trip.

"He's going to report, I think, to the Attorney General and Congress", Trump told reporters outside the White House before leaving for Florida. "He says he has a lot of good information".

Trump said that Giuliani had not yet told him what information he had collected, although the president said he had heard that they were numerous.

"I hear he has found plenty", Trump added.

Andrii Artemenko was expelled from Ukraine's Radical Party and accused of treason by Ukrainian prosecutors in 2017 for meeting with President Trump's then-personal attorney Michael Cohen, and Russian-American businessman and former Trump associate Felix Sater in NY on January 27, and discussing a strategy that would permit Russia to lease Crimea for between 50-100 years.

One of President Donald Trump's staunchest allies said it was "weird" and "odd" that the president's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, was back digging for dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden in Ukraine.

Telizhenko has been quoted frequently on pro-Trump media outlets where he has promoted the conspiracy theory that the Democrats faked the hacking of their own email servers in 2016 as a way of framing the Russians.

Before arriving in Kyiv, Giuliani stopped in the Hungarian capital.

"In several conversations in recent months, Attorney General William P. Barr has counseled Trump in general terms that Giuliani has become a liability and a problem for the administration, according to multiple people familiar with the conversations".

Giuliani is also reported to have met with two other ousted Ukrainian prosecutors - Viktor Shokin and Kostiantyn Kulyk.

Giuliani has repeatedly made unsubstantiated claims about interactions between the Obama White House and Ukrainian officials.

Giuliani is saying out loud that corruption (1) specifically means Joe Biden, and (2) Ukraine must satisfy Giuliani and Trump by investigating it in order to get "assistance" from the United States.

Biden has accused Trump's camp of peddling "universally-debunked lies".

"The conversation about corruption in Ukraine was based on compelling evidence of criminal conduct by then VP Biden, in 2016, that has not been resolved and until it is will be a major obstacle to the USA assisting Ukraine with its anti-corruption reforms".
