The official title for Ghostbusters 3 looks to be revealed with news of a trailer coming soon as "Afterlife" is listed.

GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE is produced by Ivan Reitman.

An all-too-brief teaser emerged last month, complete with the original's spooky music, culminating with a tantalising shot of ECTO-1 under a tarpaulin in a barn. Now, The British Board of Film Classification has given a 12A rating to Sony's first trailer for the Jason Reitman film and confirmed it will officially be titled Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

The cast now includes Carrie Coon as a single mother, with Finn Wolfhard as her son, Mckenna Grace as her daughter, and Paul Rudd as a teacher. GHOSTBUSTERS stars set to return include Bill Murray as Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd as Raymond Stantz, Sigourney Weaver as Dana Barrett, Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz, and Ernie Hudson as Winston Zeddemore.

Regarding the title, it seems rather appropriate as it follows the original Ghostbusters film from 1984 and its sequel from 1989; the flick has nothing to do with the female version from 2016.

Director Jason Reitman announced that the film had wrapped with a selfie featuring himself, his father Ivan Reitman and cast members Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace and Logan Kim.
