A Resident Evil 3 remake has been rumoured for some time now, and to further add to that flame, some potential cover art for the American, European and Japanese releases has been found online on the PlayStation Store's database.

The listing contains both Biohazard 3 and Biohazard 3 Z Version, the latter presumably being the uncut version. In it, we get a good look at the redesigns for Jill Valentine, Carlos Oliveira and the infamous Nemesis.

The cover art seems to suggest that there will be a special edition of the release - called the Z Version - although the data now does not suggest what this variant may provide over the standard version.

Project Resistance is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, and looks to be enhanced for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. The remake of Resident Evil 2 has been a huge hit, topping the charts across the world and selling 3 million units in the first week alone.

In case you're wondering, The Video Game Awards 2019 event will air on December 13th. No official word has been given but given the huge success of Resident Evil 2 back in January its hard to see Capcom not going forward with a remake for Resident Evil 3.

A couple of days ago, Capcom teased Resident Evil 3 Remake via a franchise Steam sale picture. We can only hope!

It's likely that the Resident Evil 3 remake would be able to reuse at least some assets from that title, as well as mechanics and engine work, making a release at some point in 2020 possible.
