This comes after Gabrielle Union addressed people hating on another photo that Wade posted of their daughter and Zion with Gabrielle that he captioned, "My Girls".

Days after supporting his wife Gabrielle Union after her unceremonious ouster from "America's Got Talent", the Miami Heat icon defended his Thanksgiving family photo against critics of his son's attire and accouterments.

National Basketball Association legend Dwyane Wade, who was known to unleash his gangsta on the court from time to time, has been channeling his inner pit bull in defense of his family recently. Their son, Zion, is sporting white nails and what some Instagram users said was a crop top.

After Union shared the photos, Wade responded to negative comments, tweeting, "I've seen some post-thanksgiving hate on social about my family photo".

"The messages of this policy statement are very much in line with the core principles of pediatrics, including the importance of using a nonjudgmental, family-based, developmentally appropriate approach", he told me. "So we will continue to be us and support each other with pride, love & a smile!" "That child is free & happy".

"As a parent, my only goal is that my kids feel that i see them, love them and support them", Wade replied in a retweet. "To all the friends and family that have my back and all the friends and family I've never met who show love and support when everyone is looking and when no one is looking", wrote Union to accompany the photo.

Wade made headlines earlier this year after Zion rode a float in the Miami Beach Pride parade. "I'm doing what every parent has to do", Dwyane previously added. "That's our job. And my job as a father is to facilitate their lives and to support them and be behind them in whatever they want to do".
