The Space Vizzion measures 195.2 inches long, 60.2 inches high, and 74.7 inches wide (496 x 153 x 190 cm) - compared to the 185 x 66 x 72 inches (470 x 168 x 183 cm) of the Tiguan.

Drawing on the versatility of Volkswagen's MEB electric auto platform, the ID Space Vizzion is of a similar size to the Audi A6 Avant with a 4,958mm length, 1,897mm width and 1,529mm height. With its sleek surfaces and dual-tone paint job, the Space Vizzion looks properly mean. Aerodynamics are critical, the lower the drag the better the range.

Volkswagen revealed Tuesday evening a new concept vehicle called the ID Space Vizzion, and despite the insane Frank Zappaesque name, this one might actually make it into production in Europe and North America.

The ID Home Vizzion hasn't gone thru Environmental Safety Agency sorting out yet, so about a of its specs might per chance well neutral exchange, but Volkswagen is now targeting a 300 mile vary powered by an 82kWh battery, in step with Jalopnik.

The current ID. Space Vizzion seems to only be offering one battery size, the 77 kWh variant corresponds to the next largest battery of the ID.3.

That all-wheel-drive version would sprint to 60mph (97kph) from a standstill in 5sec, although top speed would be limited to 175kph. It can be charged to 80 percent of its capacity within 30 minutes using a 150kW system. Specifically, Keogh noted the company may add more rake to the concept's C-pillar shape. Replacing the traditional cockpit design, which is now reduced to a small screen, the AR HUD hovers the usual information (plus infotainment and other items, as needed) on a virtually hovering 15.6-inch screen. Space Vizzion is the seventh ID. electric concept vehicle of the brand after ID.3, ID. Word is that Wolfsburg is working hard to make this naturally sourced upholstery using residuals from apple juice production feasible. If the vehicle "detects a stressful situation, such as rush-hour traffic jams, the system suggests switching to a relaxation mode in which a calming ambient lighting shade is activated".

"The new ID Space Vizzion brings unrivaled flexibility, uncompromising quality and German design to a new era of mobility", says Klaus Bischoff, Head of Volkswagen Design. Minor edits have been made. Space Vizzion previews a future version that will go into production, in this case for the European and American markets, says Volkswagen.
