For Galaxy Watch Active users, a new Touch Bezel interface is included in the upgrade, allowing users to navigate using finger swipe actions around the bezel. The new features and user experience functions found on the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will soon be available on the said wearable devices.

Own a Galaxy Watch or the original Galaxy Watch Active? A year later the Galaxy Watch Active2 arrived with some useful new functionality, including enhanced Samsung Health features, new Bixby functionality, and more customization options.

After installing the update, users will have access to 24 new complications for displaying information on a watchface.

The latest software update will bring more Bixby advantages like Bixby Voice which is ideal to use in controlling your SmartThings ecosystem, know the time between places, and start exercise routines. Samsung also updated the emoji to include more diverse skin tones.

The current time will now always be displayed on-screen when the stopwatch app is in use or users are on a call, and users can more easily customize the icons in their quick panel thanks to a change in layout. The South Korean tech giant is introducing 24 new sub-dials and complications for the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Active in addition to its "My Style" feature that lets you set watch backgrounds created to match the clothes you're wearing. 17 new watch faces have been added as well, and every watch face will now show small icons at the bottom to notify the user whenever some apps are running in the background.

For fans of Bixby, the update will include a fuller version of Samsung's digital assistant.

The software update started rolling out today, but it may take a few days for your Galaxy Watch or Active to receive it as Samsung is working region-by-region.
