"We have had conversations about the show going 20 seasons. I just. Yeah, we'll see what happens". "It would be hard because it's called American Horror Story and you'd have to stay within the legal soil limits in order to make that work". Season 10, however, has already been confirmed, with creator Ryan Murphy teasing a literally out-of-this-world theme for the upcoming season.

The series' contract ends after next season and with no renewal, they're planning it as if it might be their last.

'So, I've been quietly reaching out to various people. Some people I haven't reached out to yet because I was like "Do I have a role for them?' So far, everybody I reached out to said "Yes", so that's been great". Without naming names, the creator said that "the people who helped build this show into what it is, who believed in it from the beginning, have been contacted and are interested".

Will Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters return to the cast of American Horror Story Season 10? Sarah Paulson, who appeared in the first eight seasons and is soon to star in Murphy's Ratched and American Crime Story: Impeachment, told TV Guide: "I would like to do something with Evan [Peters].I miss Evan and I miss acting with Evan".

One person, however, who seems won't be making a comeback is Jessica Lange.

Proving to be a spooky love letter to the eighties, AHS:1984 has taken fans on a series of twists and turns at Camp Redwood, which held hostage the ghosts of those who had passed from a series of gruesome murders.

"We're working on an idea for season 10 that I think people will love because it's about reuniting fan-favorite actors to come back - because it might be our last season".

But while fans of the show may be anxious about claims the next series could be the last ever, don't panic.

When asked by TVGuide what Season 10 would be about, showrunner Ryan Murphy said: "There will be probably a big one in [Season 9, ] Episode 8".

However, Jessica Lange, 70 - who has won several Emmys for her role in the show - admitted in September she wasn't too keen on returning, telling The Wrap: 'I don't think I would want to start from scratch and create a character'. "We're in the middle of negotiations about beyond season 10". We could be raw and rough and verité.

For 1984, the cast was announced a few months before the season aired, so we may not know whether the pair will be back until summer 2020. This felt like an independent film approach. It felt like, 'Ok.season 20?
