Rookie guard RJ Barrett had the New York Knicks in good shape heading into the fourth quarter, filling up the box score to try and earn his team a hard-fought road win.

Fizdale didn't seem fazed by the speculation during Tuesday's shootaround, telling reporters, "It's always a media firestorm in NY, so for everybody else this is a big deal, but for us, it's a normal environment".

White got a welcome visitor in Chicago on Tuesday when North Carolina coach Roy Williams flew up to watch him play.

"If possible, can you come to more games?"

A few weeks ago ex Bull Bobby Portis scored a season high 28 points as the Knicks went on to beat the Bulls 105-98.

Smith finally departed after a rough outing - 14 minutes, zero points, 0 for 3 from the field, three turnovers and a minus-22.

White was absolutely unconscious in the fourth quarter of Tuesday night's game at the United Center, breaking a franchise record by knocking down SEVEN (!) three-pointers in one quarter. "Once he hit the first two, I saw it coming". "We played three great quarters of basketball".

"We've got 9-10 new guys?"

Fizdale also said he wasn't surprised by White's outburst.

"I've seen that before", he said.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Malika Andrews, the timing of the new conference was considered by those around Madison Square Garden and the league to be "a complete undermining" of head coach David Fizdale. He's got incredible speed. "He just broke the game open". Regardless of what happens with Fizdale, opposing executives expect Mills and Perry to be given the remainder of the season to show Dolan that the team they put together can be competitive.

The Knicks had no answers. His tally also set an National Basketball Association record for most 3-pointers in a quarter made by a rookie.

In the first quarter specifically, the Bulls threw Carter (and Markkanen) the ball in the post early and often and the results were encouraging. "He's been trying to will us to wins and it's been going the opposite way as of late".
