Matt Reeves' upcoming superhero blockbuster, The Batman, has cast up-and-coming Juilliard grad Jayme Lawson. According to Collider, Jayme Lawson has been cast in a "notable" role for The Batman. She just recently graduated from the famed Juilliard academy and while there has played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet as well as the title role in Hamlet, and she has also played Lady Macbeth onstage.

Lawson would join a cast headed by Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman who also has Paul Dano as Enigma, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon and we now have Colin Farrell and Andy Serkis in talks to play the Penguin and Alfred Pennyworth, respectively.

Who do you think Jayme Lawson is playing?

The next attempt at jumpstarting a Batman franchise has already snagged quite a bit of indie movie talent alongside some big name stars, all of whom seem to fit perfectly in their roles despite being unorthodox choices.

Full plot details for The Batman are now under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues' Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler.

Matt Reeves' upcoming superhero solo film The Batman has been one of the hottest, most talked about movies in town despite being nearly two years away.

Casting announcements for The Batman thus far include Robert Pattison in the lead role of Bruce Wayne / Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon.
