According to VW, the Space Vizzion is a "crossover of tomorrow", with the spaciousness of an SUV and the "aerodynamic characteristics of a Gran Turismo". The exhibition, titled "Building an Electric Future", opens to the public on November 20 and will immerse visitors in the ins and outs of VW's MEB modular EV platform.

The ID Space Vizzion will be the seventh model in the ID range, which also includes the ID Crozz, ID Buzz, ID Buggy, and ID Roomzz.

On the inside the Volkswagen ID. "With the Space Vizzion1 we create a new, fully electric segment", said Volkswagen's design head Klaus Bischoff. The MEB fully exploits the technical possibilities of e-mobility and guarantees long ranges, dynamic driving performance and a whole new level of digital networking.

The electric wagon features a sporty, aerodynamic design, with a sloping roof, openings in the front and roof to optimize airflow, and a front fascia that mimics the design language of other ID. models with a full-width light bar and sleek LED lights. Thanks to the efficiency of the drive system and impressive aerodynamics, the ID. SPACE VIZZION has a range of up to 300 miles (EPA). The materials are consistently made from sustainable raw materials, such as the new AppleSkin-a vegan alternative to leather.

The Vizzion is the largest auto in the ID range, VW has said-and it might be even viewed as a replacement for the Phaeton large luxury sedan that was offered in Europe until 2016.

But it's destined to be more than just a show vehicle, with VW confirming that a production version will hit the streets in China in late 2021, while different versions for Europe and North America will also be introduced in due course.
