Razer brings the next-generation upgrades to its Basilisk mice that it recently introduced with the Viper Ultimate: its improved HyperSpeed wireless technology and optical switches.

Razer is well known for being a master in the realm of gaming peripherals and, with an already intimidating array of mice, keyboards and headsets, the prolific brand is entering another two contenders into the fray. Like the Viper, the Basilisk Ultimate has the new Focus Plus 20,000 dpi sensor (650 ips, 50G) and works with a combo dongle/charging dock. They do feel a little less stiff than those on Razer's other mice, without sacrificing the satisfying (or loud, depending upon your point of view) click.

The Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed is sorta the same, with not quite the highest-end hardware under the hood. The Basilisk Ultimate can get up to 100 continuous hours of gaming according to Razer. Without the dock, the Basilisk Ultimate can be charged using a micro-USB cable that also enables the mouse's wireless mode for the lowest lag possible.

Razer has additionally added the ability to adjust the scroll wheel resistance via a dial on the bottom of the mouse and as a gaming product, you know it has RGB lighting - 14 zones, to be specific, which can be customized using Razer Chroma Studio software.

As mentioned, it's boasts the same HyperSpeed wireless technology but, instead of the Focus+ sensor found on the Ultimate, it shares the same 5G 16,000 DPI optical sensor with the renowned Death Adder Elite mouse. Have a peek at the gallery above to compare the two devices - this X Hyperspeed version will cost around $60 United States dollars and was also made available on November 6, 2019. It also utilizes Razer's HyperSpeed wireless technology which the company claims is 25 faster than any other wireless gaming technology (based on click latency).

The Basilisk X HyperSpeed has six programmable buttons and on-board DPI Storage. Razer says this mouse "offers untethered lethal precision, striking the best value for money with premium features to offer and no compromise to performance".

The Basilisk Ultimate is available today for $169.99 / £169.99 / AU$279.95, and arrives bundled with a Razer Mouse Dock to both charge and connect your device. It has 11 programmable buttons, including a multi-function pedal. The Ultimate retails at a price of RM810, while the X HyperSpeed costs RM252.
