United, who won Europe's second-tier club competition in 2017 under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's predecessor Jose Mourinho, dominated throughout but poor finishing denied them a bigger win at Old Trafford.

It's safe to say Manchester United prospect Mason Greenwood has impressed fans, particularly after netting against Partizan Belgrade in the 3-0 victory. "No disrespect to Partizan, because they gave us a really good game over there, but at home you expect to win", Solskjaer added.

"This is a little bit of a template on how we want to play", Solskjaer told a news conference. "Scott is more of a concern, so let's see how he recovers in the next few days".

"There were a couple of times where I was half a yard too forward so it was a game of fine margins but we are happy with the three goals".

"I hope he'll recover for Sunday, but I don't know". Inside of his ankle. "I think he went over on his ankle".

Teenager Mason Greenwood had already opened the scoring when Anthony Martial took four exquisite touches to travel five yards into the penalty area and poke his finish just inside the far post.

Solskjaer is hopeful the Scotland worldwide will recover in time for Sunday's Premier League clash with Brighton.

"He'll be disappointed he's not scored a goal but he's in the right places, he's still got the confidence to get in the right places and have chances". He was composed and waited for the keeper. Anthony - that was probably the skill of the night, that goal. He'll need more goals on his left because he is in that position often and he can go both ways.

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes wasn't fully satisfied with his former team's resounding three-nil win over Partizan Belgrade in the UEFA Europa League.
