At 48%, Apples Q3 watch market share more than Samsung-Fitbit combined

Apple Watch maintained first position with 48 percent global smartwatch marketshare, while Samsung held second place, and Fitbit clung on to third.

The sales reports of Apple's third-quarter of 2019 shows us that people really wanted to buy an Apple watch no matter which series it is. The firm says the Apple Watch's share of the global smartwatch market has grown from 45% to 48% in the past year. The Cupertino firm shipped 6.8 million of its Apple Watches in Q3 2019, up 51 percent compared to the 4.5 million units it shipped during the same quarter a year ago.

The smartwatch market is still relatively new in the hardware field, but they've nevertheless slowly but surely been getting more and more popular. It is claimed Apple Watch shipments reached 6.8 million units in Q3 2019, up 51% from the 4.5 million believed to have shipped in the same quarter in 2018. Samsung shipped 1.9 million units in Q3 2019 compared to 1.1 million in Q3 2018, which comes out to a whopping 73% increase. Samsung's global smartwatch market share jumped from 11 percent to 13 percent during the past year. The company's 1.6 million shipments last quarter gave it an 11.3 percent market share, which is down from 15 percent a year earlier. Recent new models, such as Galaxy Watch Active 2, should enable Samsung to improve its global smartwatch presence during the upcoming Q4 holiday season, according to researchers. Meanwhile, Google acquired Fitbit for 2 billion Dollars and a lot of Fitbit lovers are not actually liking the decision, we are still waiting to see what plans Google has with Fitbit for the future of Smartwatches.
