If you like what it's been doing with the DB11 and Vantage, you'll like its work here.

Being an Aston Martin though, luxury and elegance is just as important as speed.

Aston Martin's first SUV, the St Athan-built DBX, will be priced from £158,000 in the United Kingdom when order books open following its official global unveiling on November 20.

Julien Brunel, automotive sector specialist at management consultancy, Vendigital, said in an AM "guest opinion" piece that Aston Martin's hopes of achieving 4,000 annual DBX sales to boost its fortunes would not be easy.

Of course, the rear seats also got some love. As a result, the rear seats are reportedly kid-approved and spacious.

The brand claims that it has also succeeded in achieving class-leading front and rear legroom and "a fantastic feeling of airiness" thanks to the full-length panoramic glass roof and expansive side windows.

There's been no real shortage of teases for the new Aston Martin DBX SUV as AML prepare to launch a vehicle they hope will do for them what the Porsche Cayenne did for Porsche, albeit on a smaller scale, and we've already had an unofficial undisguised photo of the DBX. Likewise, each button and dial has been carefully positioned in order to allow accessibility to all in a seamless design. Lots of internal stowage space has been built in - the bridged centre console offers space below "for larger items such as a handbag or large 1.5-litre water bottles". And it ain't cheap, but you knew that, because it's an Aston Martin. On one hand it looks set to be one of the fastest production SUVs on the market, but it will also showcase a user-friendly and luxurious cabin with great visibility.

The new Aston Martin DBX is riding on an all-new bespoke aluminum platform. Among other things, it comes powered by the four-liter Mercedes-AMG V8 rated at 550 hp (410 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. With more power than a V8-equipped Vantage or DB11, the DBX remains a proper five-door sports vehicle, albeit in an SUV guise.

The Aston Martin DBX will debut on 20 November, and go on sale straight away.
