Selena Gomez is asking fans to be "kind to everyone" after fans came after Hailey Bieber for seemingly referencing Selena on social media.

The 27-year-old singer's "Lose You to Love Me" dwells on Selena's relationship heartbreak, and although the lyrics don't mention Justin by name, an insider has insisted the song relates to the "Love Yourself" hitmaker rather than The Weeknd, who Selena has also dated.

Now looking back on her scars, Gomez - who shot both the music videos for her new tracks on an iPhone 11 Pro - says the hard moments in her life are now "something positive". It's just that's what-that's why I have to be careful, and I just have to take steps back and just focus on what I'm doing and no one else. "Turning off the noise and living your life on your terms".

After Hailey's social media became flooded with angry comments from followers, she clarified that her post was not aimed at her husband's ex.

"Yeah, I think you know, I'm really grateful too because I've actually experienced that a million times before and that's the unfortunate part about what I do", Selena shared. There is no "response". "This is complete BS", she wrote per BuzzFeed in an Instagram comment.

Following the backlash, Selena chose to speak up on it all in an Instagram Live.

The source told Us Weekly: "Although the song "Lose You to Love Me" was co-written and a collaboration, Selena was very involved in writing and creating it, and the song is obviously about Justin".

"It doesn't matter what the situation is. If you're my fans, don't be rude to anybody, please". Do not go off and say things that you just feel in the moment. Just please, for me. "It's more lovely for me because I know exactly where I was when I wrote it and how I felt". "I'm so grateful", Gomez said.
