The rapper-producer-mogul has also gone by other monikers including Puff Daddy, Puffy, and P. Diddy, but this would be his first legal name change. The rapper has made a decision to change up his moniker. As for the reason why he's opting for the switch, all he chose to clarify was that he's interested in changing his middle name. He has been thinking of a name switcheroo for several years but finally chose to make the change.

When it comes to his name, Sean "Diddy" Combsis all love now.

He's had more than a few name changes since he started life as Sean John Combs. "I've been praying on this and I decided that - I know it's risky and I know it's corny to some people - I made a decision to change my name again", he said in his video in 2017, shot on the beach.

One of Diddy's nicknames happens to be Brother Love and, for years, he's preached the power of positivity and love to his followers and friends.

Whether or not he will insist on being known as Love or Brother Love as he wanted in 2017 is still to be seen. I'm just not who I am before. "I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy, or any of my other monikers".

Later he declared the Tweet a joke, claiming he was just messing with his fans.

'I've come to the conclusion that you can not play around with the Internet, ' he said.

"Today, I've come to the conclusion that you can not play around with the internet".

However, this time he actually is changing his name and The Blast has the papers to prove it. It was just part of one of my alter egos, and one of my alter egos is Love. "Okay? I didn't change my name". At the time he never filed paperwork with the court and later said he was only kidding.
