The offer lasts until November 15, or until Spotify runs out of speakers, so snag yours while you still can.

Head to Spotify's website and click on the Premium landing page. The current homepage shows a promotion that reads "Get a Google Home Mini on us with your Premium plan", with a "Learn More" button underneath.

The mini speaker, which retails for $50, can be used to play music or control smart home devices. In such a case, the trial period will be forfeited.

It's not clear what caused the problem and some users have reported being able to get their device working again by using the time-honored technique of turning it off then on again; others have said resetting the device makes it function again; whereas an unlucky number have said their device is completely unresponsive no matter what.

After you've agreed to standard terms of service, Spotify will email you a link to Google's online store with a code to claim your free Google Home Mini.

Numerous reports of bricked Google Home and Home Mini devices began to emerge from users on Google's forums and Reddit (as spotted by Android Police) over the last month. From there, you'll be prompted to sign up or log in.

After logging in you need to select if you have an Individual or Family Plan. Now all you need to do is apply the coupon and get Google Home Mini for free.
